RESERVOIR TANK with Kashima Coat

The Tank was first launched by MX-Tech (MXT) as an oversized reservoir using better materials and the best coatings available to replace the brittle and high friction OEM WP pistons. The MXT Tank continues to be a huge success with both riders and tuners who seek the best performance available. 

MXT set out to improve the underlying physics, design and materials to achieve true “works” results with a tuner friendly setup, improved longevity and better performance. The Tank reservoir is engineered to effectively increase performance. The Tank System features a large piston that reduces the impact of temperature driven shock gas forces as well as reducing friction to levels comparable to a bladder without the effects of gas migrating into the oil. This Tank is armored with genuine Kashima coating with improved internal surface finish that yields the lowest friction available as well as being very hard and durable.

Performance: The Tank system features a large diameter piston reducing the effect of both the temperature change in the shock, and the impact on rod charge. Comparable friction forces to a bladder without nitrogen movement. 

Tuning options: Piston can be positioned precisely. Piston placement can be measured and changed giving tuners the option to control the effective volume change on the nitrogen gas side for the best in consistent builds. 

Service: Designed for easier service, with common suspension tools. Easily filled using a needle. This makes the design easy, compact, and 100% reliable. As a result, service intervals are less costly and are recommended at 30 hours.

Quality: MXT makes high quality parts, improved over OEM products. The parts are machined from 6061 T6, and 7075 aluminum and anodized.

We recommend using the 49MM SKF Free Piston Tool to set piston height. MXT tool for positioning and bleeding 52mm T1049 52mm SKF Tank Cap Tool
