By now everyone should know Motocross Action magazine is well known for testing bikes and products on an independent basis. That means if MXA puts a stamp of approval on it – that is a review you can trust. Over the life of the latest Honda chassis, the magazine has commented that the bike is stiff and in most cases scary as the stock suspension isn't paired well with the rest of the package. In any case, in the November 2020 issue, they begin the article by saying that after some 30 hours of testing, no test rider was interested in racing beyond the review period. The next step however was using Mx-tech suspension's latest setup including the National shock. This involved riding the pro practice day at Glen Helen – where track conditions get downright nasty! Here is a quote from the end of the article:

[The real question, after spending lots of time dialing in our 2020 Honda CRF450, was whether or not any of our test riders would volunteer to race it the next weekend. They all said, "YES."]

AMA Pro motocross rider, Nathan LaPorte says, “Racers hate when the stock shocks kicks on square edge holes and swaps sideways, the National shock soaks up the holes with confidence giving a better feel. The National shock feels the same at gate drop thru the end of the race - imagine no shock fade.”
