MX-Tech Fork and Shock Rebuilding (Service): Forks $400.00 | Shock $280.00

The most important service we offer. Our rebuild is complete, thorough and the base point for all our service offerings. Before work has started everything is given an Ultra Sonic wash, then completely disassembled and cleaned, inspected and measured for wear. All fork tubes and shock shafts are polished on our lathe with a three step process. Minor imperfections and burns are removed, and your forks move with reduced friction and seal life is prolonged. All shocks are bled on our European vacuum system. This method ensures repeatability, with air free, consistent builds every time. You'll notice improved performance and less fade.

As an incentive for maximizing your suspension investment, MX-Tech continually develops updates for our suspension products. As technology advances, our customers continue to take advantage of our research. You will not find a more thorough rebuild anywhere.

  • Ultra Sonic pre-wash
  • Complete disassemble, cleaning and inspection of all parts
  • Valving updates / changes included at no charge for MXT revalved suspension
  • 3 step chrome polishing on lathe

MX-TECH Lowering Services: $250.00-$500.00 (Depending on Application)

MX-TECH uses Nylon spacers. This guarantees smooth action and performance with no long-term issues with wear. All MX-TECH lowering services are fully reversible. Commonly used for the vertically challenged, Supermoto, and DTX. While revalving is possible for bike lowering, we prefer not to lower and revalve suspension at the same time.

We recommend lowering and chassis adjustments separate from performance work, unless you're getting your bike set-up for DTX or supermoto.

DLC Lower Fork Coating: $500 | DLC Shock Shaft Coating: $200

DLC is the best fork coating available, it creates a very hard surface and reduces friction. This improves performance, increases longevity, and is an excellent compliment to SKF seals for maximum reliability.

Kashima Upper Fork Coating: $500

Kashima is quickly becoming the industry standard for customers who are looking for the best possible performance for critical parts of their suspension. MXT offers this service direct from Japan, the only place to get real Kashima.

Both anodizing and hard anodizing provide wear resistance for sliding parts – a side benefit is the color often looks good. Once abrasion occurs to an area, containments get in the space between the two surfaces where friction is present. This causes wear like scoring and seizing.

Kashima is strong, but it also includes lubrication. The treatment impregnates Molybdenum disulfide (a solid lubricant) into the micropores of the anodizing treatment. This offers consistent lubrication until the anodizing layer is completely worn away.

How is it done? A part is put into a primary electrolysis in an electrolytic bath of sulfuric acid and oxalic acid to form porous anodizing film. Next, the part(s) are treated in a solution of more chemicals in a secondary electrolysis process.
