MXT TANK 2.0: Sherman Edition with Kashima Coat
The Tank was first launched by MX-Tech (MXT) as an oversized reservoir for KTMs using better materials and both color and Kashima coat anodizing. The MXT Tank continues to be a huge success with both riders and tuners who seek the best performance available.
MXT took the best attributes of the Tank and decided to push the performance even more. MXT set out to improve the physics, the design and materials to achieve true works results – and the price stayed the same! The Tank reservoir is engineered to effectively increase performance. Now with more tuning options, including the precise placement of the reservoir piston, the Tank is even easier to service with a higher standard of quality. The Tank System features a 2mm larger piston, reducing both temperature change in the shock and the impact on rod charge. This Tank is armored with genuine Kashima coating with improved internal surface finish that yields the lowest friction available.

Performance: The Tank system features a 2mm larger diameter piston reducing the effect of both the temperature change in the shock, and the impact on rod charge. The piston now moves more slowly, and less overall. Optimized O-ring gland design reduces stiction, and the piston incorporates a piston ring resulting in greater compliance, traction, and comfort for the rider.
Tuning options: The piston features a standard Ohlins positioning nipple. This allows the shock piston to be precisely placed and measured, giving tuners the option to control the effective volume change on the nitrogen gas side for the best in consistent builds.
Service: Designed for easier service, the end cap can be removed via a circlip design, allowing the piston to be removed during routine service without removing the cylinder. Easily filled using a needle. This makes the design easy, compact, and 100% reliable. As a result, service intervals are less costly and are recommended at 30 hours.
Quality: MXT makes high quality parts. The parts are machined from 6061 T6 aluminum and anodized.
Fitment: 2015 Factory Edition KTM's and all 2016 KTM and Husqvarna models with newer chassis.
