What is the deal with the BSIX5 fork kit, is it a whole fork or a kit.
The BSIX5 fork is a drop in insert for both KYB and Marzocchi forks. The kit comes valved set and ready for installation. The kit was developed over many years and features highly detailed and purposed engineered components. No details where spared in the quest to bring the best possible product to market. These details have resulted in performance equal to the best big bike suspension. Smooth action, consistent performance with real bottoming control.
My son and I enjoy racing on the weekends, we are not racing for championships. This fork looks like it’s for pro riders, how can I justify that kind of expense.
Hold it right there! This fork can be appreciated by not just the pro level kids but by your amateur rider just the same, we believe even more so.
I think what we are talking about can be broken down into a couple of categories. Starting with the fast super kids that chase the championships. Yes it’s expensive, but we can offer you performance that no $150-$500 set up or competitors’ kit can even come close too. We have done back to back lap time comparisons and regularly noted 4 second per lap improvements. YES 4 second a lap improvements. Think about this further, you spent how much for the custom motor work? How about gas for the rig, you have spent how much on coaching and racing, and your fussing over a $1200 that will ACTUALLY make a meaningful difference? If that does not make you think about this differently I can’t imagine what would. BTW this stuff has dominated so far in amateur racing in both Europe and the US.
Case two is more about the original question. You’re just out for fun and family time, perfect. Now dad it’s your turn, do you have your suspension done? Are you 100% happy with it? What if we had your suspension guy take all the compression and rebound out of the forks left your shock stock and sent you out for the first moto. Would you feel safe, would you have fun? Kids are pretty adaptive, I can’t believe how good they go given the power the 65’s have with the worst most unsafe and unbalanced suspension they ride every weak. With our fork kit they can ride with greater control and predictability. Quite frankly your rider needs it more because they don’t have the talent that some of these kids have. Give them something good and they can think less about survival and more about having fun, and maybe getting the kid in front of them.
