Problem: The 4CS fork was produced as a new design from WP to address what many in the industry felt was a stale WP TC fork. While very unique in appearance the 4CS is simply a repackaged Ohlins TTX style fork design. Over the years, the system has had several major revisions from WP, all which appear to be cost driven attempts to make the fork simpler to construct and produce. The fork suffers from horrendous mid-stroke harshness due to the massive air spring effect as a way of managing bottoming. Additionally, the top adjusters, while nice, do a poor job of actually adjusting the fork. They tend to over adjust making it either too soft or too stiff.
Solution: We created the Asymmetrical System to address the stock 4CS limitations in addition to improving the overall performance by adding additional adjustable high and low speed compression and the MXT Huck Valve system.
